Moving Over From HomeGauge? How to Import Your HomeGauge Templates Directly into SwiftReporter

If you’ve been thinking about moving over from HomeGauge to a faster, modern home inspection software, we just eliminated the biggest hurdle: rebuilding your templates.

We know that switching home inspection software usually means leaving behind years of carefully crafted narratives and custom layouts. Recently, an inspector reached out wanting to make the switch, but didn’t want to lose their massive HomeGauge comment library.

So, we went ahead and built a dedicated tool for it.

We are excited to announce our new HomeGauge Template Import feature. You can now take your existing HomeGauge template files and port them directly into SwiftReporter in a matter of seconds.

What Does the HomeGauge Importer Do?

Our importer automatically takes your .ht5 file and converts all of your hard work into the SwiftReporter format. This means you don’t have to start from scratch. The tool automatically carries over your:

  • Sections and Subsections

  • Inspection Items

  • Selection Menus

  • Info Notes

  • Full custom comment libraries and narratives

Know an Inspector Looking for a HomeGauge Alternative?

While our current SwiftReporter family might not need this feature, we know a lot of inspectors out there are actively looking for a faster, AI-powered alternative to legacy software.

If you have a colleague who has been hesitant about switching from HomeGauge to SwiftReporter because of their templates, let them know they can now bring their life’s work with them.

They can create a free account, upload their .ht5 template, and test drive the software today. If anyone runs into questions during the import process, just drop a reply below or hit up our support!
