Are you able to add placeholders throughout a client agreement to capture client initials and signatures? Initials are requirement in the province Alberta on agreements for excluded items in an inspection.
Hi Kyle!
First off, a huge welcome to the community. We’re really glad to have you here, and this is exactly the kind of provincial-specific workflow question we love to dive into. Alberta’s requirements for excluded items definitely make those initial blocks a must-have!
I checked in with our product team, and you can absolutely handle this in SwiftReporter right now.
Here is the best way to set that up:
-
Use a Desktop/Laptop: For the initial setup of your contract templates, it’s much easier to do on a computer than a mobile device.
-
Upload your PDF: Head to the contract section and upload your agreement.
-
Drag & Drop: You can place signature blocks, text fields, and initial blocks anywhere you need them throughout the document.
-
Assign Signers: You can assign specific blocks to different contacts, and SwiftReporter will automatically coordinate sending it to each party to sign their specific parts.
A quick note on the “where”:
-
If this is a separate Agreement/Contract: This works perfectly and is very easy to manage.
-
If it’s a separate page appended to the Inspection: We now support this! You can have those signed pages attached to the final report.
-
If you need initials scattered inside the actual body of the Inspection Report itself: This isn’t currently supported, as those reports are generated dynamically.
Give the contract builder a spin and let me know if those initial blocks land exactly where you need them. If you hit a snag, feel free to post a screenshot here and we’ll help you troubleshoot!
Best,
Evan
